Building Stronger Families. Building Stronger Leaders
Our Story
Our story is one born from the deep recognition of both the unique struggles and the immense potential within the African immigrant community in Calgary. As a registered charity, we began with a clear focus on capacity building—equipping individuals with the tangible tools and resources necessary for long-term success, rather than simply offering short-term aid. This approach has driven us to develop evidence-based programs, from Intergenerational Dialogues to comprehensive Youth Leadership Councils, making us a trusted, community-focused organization committed to measurable, positive change across all generations.
Who We Are
SHESA Alberta is the alumni association of Sacred Heart College, Mankon – Bamenda, bringing together former students who now call Alberta home. United by the values instilled at our alma mater, we are passionate about community, service, and personal excellence.
Wherever we live, we strive to connect, support, and uplift our members and the broader community through fellowship, cultural events, and charitable initiatives that reflect the true spirit of the Sacred Heart.
